One Mission. Real Impact.

  • Bridging Thee Gap Foundation exists to mobilize community, compassion, and connection to serve, uplift, and restore dignity to individuals and families who feel unseen, unheard, or unsupported.

Through collaboration and love in action, we respond to immediate needs while building sustainable pathways toward stability, healing, and hope.

  • We envision a world where barriers are broken, unity replaces division, and every person regardless of their past or present circumstances is restored in purpose, connected in community, and empowered to thrive.

  • We believe transformation happens through:

    • Consistent presence

    • Strategic collaboration

    • Dignity-centered service

    • Accountable stewardship

Bridging Thee Gap does not replace existing resources, we strengthen them.

  • • Unity Over Division
    • Dignity in Service
    • Stewardship & Accountability
    • Sustainable Impact
    • Faith & Compassion in Action

Meet the Founder

Wherlentz Eloy

Born in Haiti and raised across cultures, Wherlentz Eloy came to the United States in his early teenage years, navigating a new language, new surroundings, and the quiet weight of starting over. The journey required resilience, humility, and a faith that steadied him through every uncertain season.

"A skilled set of hands, guided by care and purpose, could do far more than alter appearances - it could help restore identity, dignity, and hope."

The Road to Purpose

After high school, Wherlentz found himself in a season many young people know well direction felt distant, purpose felt unclear. He attended college for a period before stepping away, choosing instead to commit himself to a different kind of formation: mental, physical, and spiritual growth.

It was in that season of rebuilding that barbering emerged not just as a profession, but as a calling. Through the craft, he discovered something profound: service, when offered with genuine care, can restore more than appearances. It can restore dignity.

The Vision Takes Root

Wherlentz had carried a vision quietly since his teenage years, a promise made to use whatever gift he was given as a tool to serve others with meaning. In late 2023, he acted on it. What began as offering grooming services to those less fortunate grew rapidly into something far greater.

By bringing together his craft, his relationships, and a heart for people, he laid the foundation for Bridging Thee Gap, an initiative centered on restoring what communities often lose: hope, dignity, visibility, and unity.

Milestones

Wherlentz leads with a philosophy rooted in an ancient truth: give a man a fish and you feed him for a day — teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. BTG was never built just to meet immediate needs. It was built to restore the capacity in people and communities to meet their own, creating lasting spaces of dignity, empowerment, and self-determination.

Under his leadership, BTG continues to grow as a force for transformation. He believes communities change when people choose collaboration over division, service over indifference, and action over silence — and he has committed his life to proving it.

"Communities are transformed when people choose collaboration over division, service over indifference, and action over silence."

For Wherlentz, this is more than nonprofit work.

More than outreach.

More than a moment. It is a movement.
